A platform that thinks about your home so you don’t have to.
Tickover replaces three things at once: the chaotic Google search for a tradesperson, the spreadsheet you keep meaning to start, and the 7am panic when something breaks.
Tell us about your home once.
01
Walk through your home
Postcode, property type, boiler, radiators, bedrooms, bathrooms, gas meter, electricity meter. Skip anything you're unsure of — we'll show it as a gentle 'add later' card on the home screen.
02
Get your maintenance calendar
We schedule the recurring jobs your home needs — boiler service, gutters, lawn — timed to when they actually need doing. Reminders arrive at exactly the right moment.
03
When something breaks
Tap the item. We surface vetted local trades who already know your boiler model and your postcode. Get quotes, accept one, schedule the visit.
04
After the job
Photos before and after. Pay through the app. Mutual review — you rate them, they rate you. Ten months later we'll nudge you to rebook the same person for the annual service.
Repeat work, in your patch, on your schedule.
01
Apply
Tell us your trade(s), the postcodes you cover, and upload your certifications. Gas Safe, NICEIC, public liability — whatever's relevant.
02
We verify
A real human checks your numbers against the Gas Safe Register and NICEIC, calls two recent customers, and approves you within 48 hours.
03
Pick your patch
You subscribe to the postcodes and trade categories you want. £49 / month each. Limited slots per area — scarcity keeps your prices honest.
04
Quote, fit, get paid
Pre-qualified jobs land in your feed. Quote with one tap. Stripe captures payment when the job's done. Lead fee deducted. Done.
The honest answers.
Is Tickover free for homeowners?
Yes. Free forever. We make our money from the trade subscription and a small per-job lead fee, never from homeowners.
How are tradespeople vetted?
ID check, insurance check, certification check (Gas Safe / NICEIC where relevant), plus we phone two recent customers. The ones we approve get a verified badge.
What if I don't know my boiler model?
Skip it. Most onboarding fields are optional. You can add detail later, and the photo of the boiler badge does most of the work for us.
Where are you launching?
We're launching in one London borough first with a small founding cohort, so we can keep matching by hand and learn from every job. More boroughs follow.
How does pricing work for repairs?
Tradespeople quote on each job. You see fixed prices up front before accepting. No surprise call-out fees, no time-and-materials black holes.
